ICPE celebrated the 35th Anniversary of its activities, the Celebration took place on 8 November, in the premises of the ICPE.
In the 35 years ICPE has achieved important results in the implementation of educational programmes and research projects in public sector enterprises. It has managed to create a broad network of contacts and a relatively high recognizability in cooperation with international organizations under the auspices of the UN.
Therefore the ICPE crowned this notable success with the celebration, attended by many distinguished guests. To our great pleasure Dr. Danilo Türk, President of the Republic of Slovenia, was the honorable patron of the celebration and also the speaker of the event. ICPE’s DG, Dr. Štefan Bogdan Šalej, Dr. Anton Vratuša, Honorable President ICPE and Mr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, President of the ICPE Council also addressed the guests. The atmosphere was warm and promising. Performer Tinkara Kovač and her pianist also contributed to this fine event with their unique musical interpretations, so did Živa Rogelj, the moderator. The evening was unforgetable.
On Tuesday, 9 November 2010, there was the annual Council meeting held at ICPE, attended by the host country’s Slovene delegates, and the member states delegations from Sri Lanka, Albania, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and the special guest country, Brasil.
ICPE presented attendees with its strategic plan, which has been confirmed, programme activities, financial report etc. Mr. Chatterjee, the president of ICPE Council, introduced a few prolific ideas on the future work, so did dr. Šalej, Director General, who introduced his views of the development and the targets of ICPE activity fields, just as the other distinguished participants gave their impact to the whole picture.
Important decisions and documents have been made and accepted, the outcome of the discussion on ICPE activities in the future is optimistic and the synthesis of the meeting is: there is a bright future full of challenges ahead of us.
