With global trade declining by nearly 10% and global FDI flows by as much as 50% in 2009, what can your country do to secure a trade and investment climate that will pave the way to a sustainable recovery? What can you do to support foreign companies interested in investing or trading with your country in order to create jobs and promote transfer of technology? And how can you promote domestic enterprises interested in investing abroad or trading with foreign partners?
The International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), FT Business and fDi Intelligence kindly invite you to participate in the upcoming international seminar ‘The New Commercial Diplomacy: Open the Door to a Trade and Investment Driven Recovery’ to be held at the ICPE in Ljubljana on 16 and 17 November 2009.
Guided by leading international experts and practitioners, the seminar will address current challenges and opportunities faced by participants from businesses, governments, chambers of commerce, trade and investment promotion agencies and other stakeholders as they seek to upgrade their commercial policies and skills to make their countries more attractive for foreign investors and to gain better access to foreign markets. The participants will explore innovative ways of overcoming the most common challenges and will take a close look at current best practices in the field.
