ICPE Director of Projects, Mr Uroš Zver, met in Delhi with Mr Jitesh Khosla, Head of the newly established Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and Mr N.S. Oberoi, long-time associate of the ICPE and presently Consultant at the IICA.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs in India established the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) in 2008 as a unique world-class institution to function as a think tank, action research, service delivery and capacity building support to the Ministry, corporate sector, professionals and related stakeholders, to help corporate growth, reforms and regulation through synergized Knowledge Management (KM), global partnerships and real time solutions. The IICA campus is currently being set up at IMT Manesar, Gurgaon in NCR at a cost of US $ 45 million approx., which has been fully provided by the Indian government. IICA will add a new dimension to the Knowledge Infrastructure of the country, just as the setting up of IIMs/IITs did a few decades ago.
Mr Zver and Mr Kumar agreed on the excellent potential for a partnership between ICPE-IICA, especially in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory systems in order to ensure, one the one hand, corporate growth, and one the other, CSR.
In the past year, the IICA has already entered into partnership arrangements with George Washington University Law School, Carnegie Mellon University, IIT Kharagpur, INTEL Technology Ltd, and GTZ.
