Visit of Minister of External Affairs of Sri Lanka, HE Mr G.L. Peiris

On Monday, 10 June 2013, the Minister of External Affairs of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, HE Mr Gamini Lakshman Peiris visited ICPE, accompanied by his delegation, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Slovenia, HE Mr A.L.A. Azeez and  HE Mr Janez Premože, Ambassador of Slovenia to India and Sri Lanka along with Mr Miklavž Borštnik, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia.

ICPE delegation presented the activities of the center and especially focused on the Plan of Action, a specifically designed detailed plan with activities, prepared by the ICPE team for individual member state. Such plan has been prepared also for Sri Lanka, which is one of the founding ICPE member states and concrete actions involving education of public officials and various projects in the field of entrepreneurship and development are integrated and ready for implementation.

Acting Director General expressed a wish to strenghten the cooperation and emphasized the revived MBA Programme in collaboration with FELU (Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana), which is in the phase of being reimplemented in Autumn 2013. Many students from Sri Lanka got their MBA degrees at ICPE and ADG invited the delegation and the Minister to promote the renewed ICPE MBA programme to the Sri Lankan officials and government representatives. ADG Mr Janez Podobnik also invited the distinguished representatives of Sri Lankan government to participate at the 2nd International Conference on Commercial Diplomacy and Internationalization, which will be held between 17-18 June 2013 at the Chamber of Commerce of Republic of Slovenia
