On Monday, 22 July 2013, the delegation of China Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC), lead by Mr. Wu Haiyu, Vice President & Secretary General, visited ICPE. The delegation was accompanied by Ms. Zhao Xiufen, Economic & Commercial Counselor and Ms. Zhou Yunlei, Third Secretary from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China.

Mr. Janez Podobnik, ICPE Acting Director General presented the activities of the Center and indicated areas for future collaboration.
Mr. Wu Haiyu presented CEATEC. Association was founded in 2000 and is dedicated to the promotion of Chinese-European trade links and economic cooperation. It helps enterprises to explore markets and introduces capital, products and technology.
Both parties are committed to exploring mutually beneficial collaborative projects in economic development, technology transfer, sustainable development, entrepreneurship and knowledge-based societal changes. Special attention will paid to environmental protection and energy issues.
Memorandum of Understanding was signed. The document expresses the will of signatories to organize various events on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, with the aim of fostering further exchange and cooperation between both parties.

Delegation of CEATEC expressed high interest for training programs and MBA study. Mr. Janez Podobnik invited CEATEC to send one or two participants to the MBA study which starts in autumn this year. One of the first issues that will be addressed under the MoU will be joint training programmes and cooperation of SMEs.
B2B Meetings with China National Huachen Energy Group
The meeting was continued with the presentation of China National Huachen Energy Group (CHC), one of CEATEC's member companies. Mr. Du Ping, General Manager Development Department said the company is especially interested in cooperation with Slovenian companies in the field of R+D of clean energy, including solar (PV), geothermal, biomass, etc. CHC is also interested in setting up joint ventures with Slovenian companies for developing utilization of new energy in Europe.
B2B meetings
Ideas for cooperation were exchanged at B2B meetings with the following Slovenian companies: HSE, Korona, Hidria, Robotina, Talum and ISIT.
