Civil Registry

One of ICPE’s strategic activities is related to the topic of accelerated improvement of civil registration and vital statistics. A system of civil registration is one of the topics that we offer to our member states. The programme was developed with the help of international specialists. The main goal is to articulate the needs to develop good governance on civil registry, to support circular migration and prevent brain drain.

The first training programe delivered in 2013 offered an overview of the universal legal standards in this segment, ground stones of statistical collection and processing of demographic and vital events, including protection of privacy, as well as basic information about impact of good service in this field on secure border control. Participants from Afghanistan were acquainted with international experience and information solutions in selected segments of the support for migration management.

The needs for trainings in this fora and need to develop the capacity building have been clearly articulated in all international actors.
