ICPE at Vienna Energy Forum 2011 (VEF), 21-23 June 2011, Vienna, Austria

Dr Stefan Bogdan Salej, Director-General of ICPE, Ambassador Mr Zvone Dragan, special Adviser to the ICPE DG and M. Nenad Stankovic, ICPE Representative in Austria participated in the Vienna Energy Forum 2011 (VEF), organized by UNIDO. In the Round table 4 “Low Carbon Transformational Technologies”, Dr. Salej participated as panelist with presentation related to the renewable sources of energy and their perspectives/challenges in the 21^st century.

During the VEF ICPE delegation had several meetings with UNIDO officials in which was discussed possibilities and perspectives of the collaboration between ICPE and UNIDO. It was highly appreciated by both sides with agreement to define concrete proposals for mutual activities, which should be implemented in the near future.

The ICPE delegation also had separated meetings with high level representatives like HE Mr Roberto Kreimerman, Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay, HE Mr Xolisa Mabhongo, Ambassador of South Africa, HE Mr I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja, Ambassador of Indonesia, HE Mr Hyun Cho, Ambassador of Republic Korea, HE Mr Alejandro Diaz, Ambassador of Mexico, HE Mr Juan Carlos Marsan Aguilera, Ambassador of Cuba, HE Dr Fidelino Loy de Jesus Figueiredo, Ambassador of Angola, HE Mr Musthafa Mohamed Jaffeer, Ambassador of Sri Lanka, as well as the representatives of Thailand, Serbia, Austria, Israel, Finland, Chile and Colombia. In all those meetings it was discuss possible collaboration with ICPE, potential implementation of the ICPE programs/activities in/with these countries as well as their participation in the “High Level Meeting of the State Ownership Authorities” in Ljubljana (Slovenia) from 5^th to 6^th September 2011.
