On 16 March 2011 Nigerian delegation: Amb. O. Kuku, Under-Secretary for Regions and International Organisations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria (MFA Nigeria), Amb. M. K. Ibrahim, Director (Africa Bilateral Affairs Department), Mr. O. J. Onijala, Director (regions), MFA Nigeria, Mr. A. A. Adepoju, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Nigeria in Budapest, Hungary, Mrs. M. S. Ogundero, Minister Counsellor, Embassy of Nigeria in Budapest, Hungary and Mrs. E. J. Sunsuwa, Second Secretary, East and Central European Division, MFA Nigeria visited ICPE. On a meeting with ICPE Director General Dr. Šalej they discussed various options for cooperation between Nigeria and ICPE, special interest was put from their behalf into ICPE’s short and long-term educational programmes such as MBA, GIMBA and short- term training programmes for country’s officials.

DG introduced them ICPE’s activities and previous contacts ICPE had with Nigeria, explained them ICPE’s Public Sector Enterprises focus and the future events. He emphasized that ICPE is not about giving instructions to anyone, but more so to exchange valuable experiences for wider benefits, offering sincere partnership to its member states and other partners. He submitted the “Minimum obligatory contributions of member states” list to the delegation, since they have shown an interest.

HE Amb. Kuku pointed out that Nigeria’s aim is to understand how to penetrate into Europe and was interested into added up value educational programmes. The both parties agreed to keep in touch and that the next step of discussions should follow soon.
