Lecture at ICPE - Dr Pradeep Monga, UNIDO

On Thursday, 14 March 2013, ICPE will host Dr Pradeep Monga, Director of the Energy & Climate Change Sector, UNIDO, who will visit Slovenia to chair the 2nd ICPE International MBA Alumni Club meeting as well as to have a lecture on New trends in Energy Industry, Energy Efficiency, renewable Sources of Energy and Climate Change. The lecture will be held on the 1st floor at the ICPE - MBA room.

• Dr. Pradeep Monga is Director of the Energy & Climate Change Branch at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) at its headquarters in Vienna, Austria and in his capacity he leads the energy and development related work at the international agency.

Dr. Monga is an expert in the field of energy policy planning, energy technologies and financing mechanisms with over 30 years of working experience. His present responsibilities include giving developing countries strategic advice on energy policy issues, the supervision of networks of energy technology centres, and the coordination with UN Energy members on energy and climate issues. Before UNIDO, Dr. Monga has worked for UNDP and has been a consultant with the World Bank, World Resource Institute in Washington DC, TERI in New Delhi and the FAO in Rome. Before the UN, Dr. Monga held senior positions in the Government of India and is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre (1980 batch) in India.

Dr. Monga has presented several technical papers in over 40 international seminars/workshops and has co-authored three books. In addition, Dr. Monga holds a certificate in Advanced Organisational Management from Harvard Business School. He is both a Fulbright and Humphrey scholar as well as an ICPE International MBA Programme graduate.
